| APC's SmartSlot Relay I/O Module allows control and monitoring of power through a simple dry contact interface, a communication format favored by manufacturers of PBX's, telecom management devices and alarm management systems. With the SmartSlot Relay I/O Module, users can control Smart-UPS or Matrix-UPS operations and recieve critical UPS alarms, functions normally available only through fileserver or modem communications. The SmartSlot Relay I/O Module allows you to remotely monitor the UPS battery and operation when the power goes out. You can be certain your equipment will continue to operate as expected without site visits. Installations typically require direct intervention to shutdown and power-on equipment. The SmartSlot Relay I/O Module gives you the ability to remotely startup or stop equipment via the dry contact interface, which saves support costs. Remote devices which frequently hang or become unstable can cause expensive downtime.
